The dismantling of the former Lubmin\/Greifswald nuclear power plant is currently one of the largest organized nuclear power plant dismantling projects worldwide.<\/p>\n

In spring of 2017, dismantling work began on Units 7 and 8 of Plant IV of the Lubmin \/ Greifswald NPP. For this project, we designed a special crane track that was erected at a height of 50 meters on top of the condensation systems and above the non-load-bearing ceilings of the central building. With the help of this track and the mobile cranes on it, we were able to safely transport personnel and tools to any point of the structure and thus attach loads and lift them in an orderly and safe manner. This process, developed by us, thus enabled the safe and successive dismantling of a total of 1,250 roof slabs, ceiling slabs, and side slabs of the structure, as well as the vessels of the apparatus hall and also the reactor pressure vessel of Unit 7.<\/p>\n

One challenge in the construction of the crane track was the bridging of the area between the two condensation systems 7 and 8. To establish the load-bearing capacity of this area, a special steel structure was developed for the extension of the crane track.<\/p>\n

The demolition material (steel scrap) was processed by us and the reinforced concrete rubble was recycled to a high standard.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
